Eye Make-Up?

Two questions here really.

Number one, I have brown hair and green eyes, my skin in medium/light colour. What sort of colour eyeshadows should i wear? and do you know of any good ways to apply it and what specific ones are good (brand e.c.t...)

Number two, does anyone know an easy way to apply the grey/black smokey effect? and the best brands and types of eyeshadow to use?

thank you x

Eye Make-Up?
Almay has eye makeup specific for green eyes. Also, Stila has a pallet that takes you step by step thru the smokey eye effect. Go to a Sephora if you have one, they let you try everything on before you buy it. If you don%26#039;t have one near you check them out online and check out the Stila products, they%26#039;re great for eyes.
Reply:mac

i love mac makeup

u can use eyeliner for the smokey thing plus black eyeshadow
Reply:I am the same skin tone and hair color/eye color. Natural eye shadow tones, earthy. Tans and mossy green are great!!! As for the smudy/ smoky effect, there should be a makeup website that demonstrates. I am a natural gal, less makeup

and I do not use that technique.
Reply:to make your eyes %26quot;pop%26quot; you use a color that is across your eye color on the color wheel. your eyes are green so you would use pink, purple, blue or red.
Reply:Almay has a line of eye shadows that bring out or play up your natural eye colors, I use the one for brown eyes. I%26#039;d definately recommend checking it out...

Here%26#039;s the link...

Reply:Purple and blue colors are good for brown hair, and really bring out green eyes. And as for brand, I have no clue, it all depends on how much you would be willing to spend, and what works best for you.

And for number two, practice pretty much is gonna help you through this one.
Reply:purple would look good with green eyes i use bon bon

Reply:1st Question:

For your green eyes which must be pretty = ], you should apply a color that makes them stand out so dont make an exotic color like hot hot pink, flashing blue, etc. For your green eyes try some shades of light browns and golds. Or you can add some light blues or purples.

2nd Question: Sephora is great if you want to check out some makeup. Sephora has a wide range of cosmetics and they even let you test try and mix up there products to see if the shade, color, etc. works for you. it is a great way to test things and add the %26quot;smokey affect%26quot; your looking for.

Have fun!! = ]
Reply:Try going to MAC and having them show you how to apply a smoky look or go to their website they have pictures of it. They told me using purple eye shadows bring out the green in your eyes. Try a shimmery pink then a wine color in the crease. If you do not have eyeshadow brushes yet, get them. I used to think they were useless till i got some and they help make everything look flawless! Sephora is really expensive for eyemakeup so I wouldn%26#039;t recommend that brand. Depending on your budget I have to say that MAC is the best product to invest in next to Clinque. MAC also donates to the AIDS foundation from their profits and they recycle your used containers if you bring them in! If you bring in 9 empty cartrages of lipstick foundation ect. they will give you a lipstick for free! Now go out there and check out some makeup! = D
Reply:okay well green eyes are really fashionable at the moment

so dont drown them out with bright colours

go for shimmery golds and tanned browns

barry m do some really nice versions

and benefit have cream eyeshadow which you just smooth over

firstly i suggest you put vaseline on yout top eyelid then put the colour on top

which makes it blend out

For smoky eyes

i suggest using rimmel london colour rush trio in the twilight shade (two colours)

blend the darker colour over your eyelides and along you lower lashuse the light sade on the inner corners of your eues and brow bone as a highlether

this method looks glamorous

not gothic

hope i helped

use
Reply:1. Having green eyes (you are lucky) You can pretty much get away with wearing whatever color you like. Greens, Hazels...and Pinks and oranges look best with green eyes though. Revlon is a good brand believe it or not. It comes with the Lightest shade..that you apply up to your brow bone...it comes with the medium shade that goes on your lid...and the darkest shade that you put into the crease of your eye..and the corners. It has directions to do all on the back of the eyeshadow...you may need to peel away a label. LOL.

2. to create the smokey effect. Put on your eyeshadow...following the directions..lol....then...using a pencil liner...(which is the best) I would suggest revlon or maybelline...line the upper lid...closest to your lashes as possible...and the lower lid...right along your lash line...take a q tip and smudge the line..after you are done...then take the darkest color of eye shadow...you want to put it on the tip of your eyeshadow applicator...and put it along the top lid..closest to the eye lashes as possible...and right where you put your liner on the bottom lid.

Hope I helped.
Reply:TAUPE IS A GREAT COLOR AND ESPECIALLY WITH YOU COLORING. IT IS ALSO GOOD FOR YOUR 2ND QUESTION
Reply:how I create a smoky effect id to apply black eye liner (rimele) and then I subtly rub the eyeliner with the bush that comes with some eyeliners so that It doesn%26#039;t look like a a black line.

do this on top and bottom and then apply a grey/black eye shadow depending on how dark you want your smoky effect to be.

dark/light blue

auqa

subtle purple/ colours eyeshadows

but then,im a very subtle kinda gal
Reply:Try a bronze/brown color eyeshadow it would look really pretty with your green eyes.
